Christmas Events at Eureka! The Museum for Children  

Visit the award-winning children’s museum Eureka! in Halifax to celebrate a truly magical Christmas!  Families with children age up to 11 can enjoy enchanting new entertainment for the festive season including a Harry Potter® Wizarding Weekend and magical Christmas Grotto featuring an ‘a-mazing’ twist! Unless otherwise stated all events are FREE on entry to Eureka! and run regularly throughout the day (10am – 5pm).

Work off your Christmas pud and discover fun new ways to get in shape with Fizz the Fitness Fairy. She’ll be giving you an amazing glimpse into the future and put you through your paces with a flick of her wand in Eureka!’s new hands-on exhibition Mission: Active Future! 

SCIENCE MAGIC Every Saturday and Sunday until Sunday 30 December FREE on entry to Eureka!

Suitable for children age 3+

Spontaneous one-person science shows featuring a host of amazing experiments. Learn how to make rice krispies dance and milk change colour as if by magic!  

FAIRYTALE STORYTIME

Saturdays and Sundays until Sunday 30 December FREE on entry to Eureka! Suitable for all ages 

Meet strange and wonderful characters, roam enchanted kingdoms and explore worlds where wishes really do come true in these interactive story sessions
